Stacks...

I find myself making collections; storing ideas phrases objects projects and memories. I don’t always collect with a purpose of publishing, but I do collect as a resource. These collections cluster into heaps, to be sifted through.

Stacking is a way of using what I already have or never had. Stacking is access to play. It is what I do while processing, thinking in-between making. It is endless. Each stack can be rearranged and merged affected by the environment and human interactions destabilised photographed and forgotten ignored or preserved.

Stacking is a form of animation. Enlivening situations and objects without the need to acquire more, without the need for production and demands of space. I stack what I find and where I find it and with who I am with. They do not come home with me. They most likely sway a little in the wind and eventually topple and smash or are found and disassembled.
